Swimming Safe Saves Lives
As one of life’s great pleasures, swimming offers many health and fitness benefits, cools you off in the summer and provides a wonderful opportunity to socialize with friends and family. Make sure you and yours stay safe in the water by being water aware. Drowning is the second leading cause of unintentional injury-related death for ages 1-14. Teaching children to swim is a vital skill for drowning prevention along with other key water safety measures that everyone can take to stay safe in and around the water. This awareness initiative is a collaborative program of the Pauly D Foundation and the St. Charles Park District to promote water safety and encourage swim lessons for all ages.
